Information and Assistance Specialist

Northeast Kansas Area Agency on Aging is seeking an information and assistance specialist. Provides the general public, and particularly older individuals and adults who have physical and/or  intellectual/developmental disabilities with information about their options and assist them in connecting with community services and resources so that they may live with dignity, respect, health and purpose, both private and publicly funded. Raise community awareness of the Aging and Disability Resource Center through outreach activities.

Requirements: Proficient in Word, Excel and Publisher
Must Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; some travel required
Prefer college degree
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm, 40 hours/week, some Saturdays

Northeast Kansas Coordinated Transit Council

Coordinated Transit District #3
Mobility Manager

The Northeast Kansas Coordinated Transit Council is looking for a full time Mobility Manager. This person will implement tasks as determined by Coordinated Transit District #3, which includes members of the following counties: Atchison, Brown, Doniphan, Jackson, Jefferson, Leavenworth and Nemaha. This position will be working with local public transit and planning agencies as well as human service agencies to coordinate transportation services to improve overall mobility for the general public, with an emphasis on the elderly, low-income persons, and/or persons with disabilities. This position will focus on the movement of people rather than vehicles to ensure choices for the consumer. The mobility manager is responsible to improve business and community support for the transportation organizations. It will require the development and distribution of information that explains how to utilize the available resources in meeting the diverse travel needs of the market it serves.

Essential Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Access (or other similar desktop programs)
Website Development and social media
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm, 40 hours/week
Salary: Non-Exempt
