Support and Services for Individuals With Disabilities

Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Waivers are KanCare (Kansas Medicaid) programs which provide services to a person in their community instead of an institution, such as a nursing home or state hospital. Kansas has seven (7) HCBS Waivers to meet the needs of people with different diagnoses and needs:

• Autism
• Frail Elderly
• Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
• Physical Disability
• Serious Emotional Disturbance
• Technology Assisted
• Brain Injury
